'Light in the Distance' 12x16"
This winter I was inspired by black and white tinted photography and mist. This piece of a tranquil field of fireflies, 'Light in the Distance', showed at the Maple Ridge ACT Gallery for the 'We Begin Again' group show. The theme about returning to life and how that feels since the pandemic inspired me to see the soft, nostalgic meadow with fireflies as a symbol of a quiet and muted life, while the barn in the distance suggests ever so slightly a warmth of connection.
Along with it's companion entitled 'Light on the Horizon' this acrylic work is a dream like piece that will add a soft and soothing touch to your space. Perhaps it will also remind you to appreciate some of the charms of a quieter existence in a hectic world.
12x16" acrylic on deep gallery canvas. Ready to hang.
