She's patient and quiet but one day she dreams of families and celebrations being held here again. For now the misty fields and a heron stand with her while she imagines herself decorated with lights and beautiful memories.

This piece was created to celebrate an old barn that stood in our backyard until a recent snowfall brought it down. I spent 7 years watching her in the seasons and thinking of all the life spent with her before.

Warm greys and soft tones make her especially nostalgic and restful for a rustic or contemporary space.
